Thinking of becoming VAT registered? Don’t go it alone.

Businesses generating an annual turnover of £90,000 are required by law to become VAT-registered. If that’s you, we will let you know.  Even when a business turnover is under £90,000 it can still be advantageous for the business to register for VAT. For example, there may be financial benefits if the business has low VATable expense by applying for the Flat Rate Scheme of VAT.

If you’re not sure if becoming VAT-registered is suitable for your business, then you can speak to one of our VAT experts who will talk you through the pros and the cons and if it can benefit you.

We have a dedicated VAT department who will help with:

Assisting with the registration of VAT and advising whether it will suit your business.

Requesting details of income and expenses.

Compiling the information and calculating what VAT is due to be paid.

Informing you of your quarterly VAT bill how you can pay it.

Submitting the VAT return online with HMRC.

With Horner Downey & Co. you can rest assured we will help you keep on top of your all year round accounts as well as quarterly VAT returns. We will issue reminders and when your money needs to be paid to HMRC so you can sleep soundly knowing it’s all in good hands.
